Description

Early Victorian Garnet & Diamond Hair Locket Pendant; Circa 1840This striking early Victorian pendant, dating to around 1840, is a fine example of sentimental jewellery from the period. The front is adorned with a large rich cabochon garnet, framed by a curlicue border of deep blue enamel and gold, punctuated with clusters of rose cut diamonds. Above it, a pear shaped garnet drop, also framed in diamonds, completes the elegant, balanced design. This is a substantial piece of jewellery. The reverse holds a locket

This striking early Victorian pendant, dating to around 1840, is a fine example of sentimental jewellery from the period. The front is adorned with a large rich cabochon garnet, framed by a curlicue border of deep blue enamel and gold, punctuated with clusters of rose-cut diamonds. Above it, a pear-shaped garnet drop, also framed in diamonds, completes the elegant, balanced design. This is a substantial piece of jewellery.

The reverse holds a locket compartment beneath a glass cover, containing finely arranged blonde hair which is original to the piece’s creation. In the 18th and 19th centuries, hair jewellery was a deeply personal keepsake, worn to keep a loved one physically close. While many surviving examples are associated with mourning, hair was also exchanged between sweethearts, family members, and friends as a token of affection. The bright enamel and romantic garnet suggest this may have been a love gift, though we cannot say for certain.

A beautiful and wearable piece of early Victorian sentiment, it combines superb craftsmanship with the enduring intimacy of personal memento.

Easy Claims Process
It is not a long complicated process to file and resolve a claim. Be warned--sometimes they will want you to send back the defective or damaged product, even if it's not worth the shipping ---they pay. Overall worth the investment though.

Asurion you made the return process simple
Working with Asurion was an easy process. My previously covered milk frother stopped working, and they fully refunded it with no questions asked. All I had to do was ship the broken item back to them and they sent me a gift card. To cover the initial cost, no questions asked. The refund process was a very simple and painless.

My Very First Juicer!
This was one of the worst buys ever! I couldn't have not bought a worse machine. The best this about it was that it has very few parts that are very easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I'm already looking for a new better one. I can't tell you how many times the top popped off well in the process of juicing or God forbid, if you just tapped it a tiny bit. Very annoying! It kept falling inside my freshly juiced juice. SMH. I'm giving it away to someone I don't like.
