Bij zijn terugkeer naar Belgi werd hij opgenomen in de kunstenaarskring van Galerie De Zwarte Panter in Antwerpen. Aanvankelijk maakte Cox vooral abstract werk,

De Belgische kunstschilder Jan Cox (1919-1980) speelde een betekenisvolle rol in de naoorlogse kunstgeschiedenis. Hij was medeoprichter van de kunstenaarsgroep La Jeune Peinture Belge en raakte ook nauw betrokken bij de Cobra-beweging. Van 1956 tot 1974 woonde en werkte Cox in Boston (USA). Bij zijn terugkeer naar België werd hij opgenomen in de kunstenaarskring van Galerie De Zwarte Panter in Antwerpen.

Aanvankelijk maakte Cox vooral abstract werk, maar later kregen zijn werken een eerder magisch, surreëel karakter. Hij onderscheidde zich van zijn tijdgenoten door zijn keuze van mythologische en religieuze thema's in combinatie met de existentiële problematiek.

Dit boek verschijnt ter gelegenheid van de tentoonstelling 'Jan Cox, profiel van een kunstenaar' georganiseerd door het Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen en de Vakgroep Kunst-, muziek- en theaterwetenschappen van de Universiteit Gent.

Comfortable Wrist Rest for larger laptops.

I bought this to use with my new 17 inch MSI gaming laptop. I was getting a very sore wrist as the laptop is pretty tall. This is tall enough that it is preventing the strain on the wrist. It is comfortable and not too hard, but firm enough to support my wrists. It is long enough to fit the entire length of my laptop without being too long. The curved shape puts the extra padding on the left side where I use it most for the WASD keys, but also gives me padding on the right for when I am typing and need it there also. It has a strong durable feel to it, but is smooth and soft. The bottom is shiny and rubbery and grips my lapdesk so that it does not slip and stays right where I place it. It appears to be well constructed, and considering the price, I would expect nothing less. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone with a large laptop or gaming keyboard.
